Our POMPEII Stone Mosaic Collection by VULCANO DESIGN is inspired by ancient mosaic floors stretching back to Roman mosaics as seen at Pompeii. The beautiful, detailed natural Antique Edge captures this timeless quality of hand cut stone with clear horizontal line reflecting stone strata.

Featuring a creamy beige to warm ivory base, Travertine Classico is characterised by its linear striations, subtle tonal banding, and naturally formed surface voids, which may be left unfilled for a rustic look or filled and honed for a smooth, modern finish. Its soft, neutral tones and gently textured surface create a warm, inviting aesthetic ideal for flooring, wall cladding, bathrooms, vanities, staircases, and architectural details.

Composed primarily of calcium carbonate, Travertine Classico is a sedimentary rock formed by the precipitation of minerals from geothermal springs. Its open, porous structure contributes to its distinctive texture and natural charm, though it does require sealing and regular maintenance to protect against staining and moisture.

Please note that natural stone will vary from batch to batch and show variation in colour, shade and veining. In the case of stone mosaics, random edge chipping, variation in spacing and thickness may occur due to the delicate and intricate detail of the designs. The scale of these irregularities is so small that after the mosaics are installed, the beauty of the mosaic is revealed and irregularities diminished.
