Melville Open Studios 2026 Wrap-Up

Our annual Melville Open Studios 2026, held over the weekend of 2–3 May, was a huge success!

This year’s event featured 77 registered solo and group artists, with some groups representing more than 100 members. Visitors explored creativity across 28 home studios, galleries, and commercial hub locations throughout the City of Melville, with many taking advantage of our six guided bus tour routes to discover artists and venues across the municipality.

The community response was outstanding, with more than 6,300 visits recorded across all locations and participating artists reporting over $126,000 in sales. The benefits of the event have continued well beyond the weekend, with artists receiving additional sales, commissions, workshop bookings, and exciting professional opportunities, including gallery and art space representation and Artist-in-Residence (AIR) offers. These outcomes highlight the significant and lasting impact that Melville Open Studios has on supporting artists' careers, creative practice, and connections within the wider community.

We look forward to welcoming everyone again next year as we celebrate the 10th birthday of Melville Open Studios—a special milestone for our artists, supporters, sponsors, volunteers, and the wider creative community.
