Who said wall tiles are only for the bathroom? Why not the bedroom, or the living room?
It’s not as crazy as it sounds. It makes absolute sense that a wet area like a bathroom needs a waterproof system that will protect its walls from water. The final layer of that system is tiles. The same goes for kitchen tiles – protection first, style and statement second on the list of importance.
Tiles as a cladding to your home
These days in Australia, wall tiles are becoming as much a decorative statement as a level of protection. Myaree Ceramics have applied tiles as cladding to an exterior of a building, as an interior feature wall, as an entry statement and even behind a bed.
In fact in countries like China, Japan, Brazil and the United Kingdom, bathroom tiles have been used for cladding for the outside of homes for many years. The practical argument is that the home never needs painting and it’s super easy to clean. Aesthetically, you can blend colours, textures and play with geometric shapes to really make your home a talking point around the neighbourhood.
Tiled headboards are on-trend
Headboards are a simple twist on the padded soft furnishing headboard we see often these days, which morphed from the original wooden bedhead. If you haven’t seen many tiled headboards yet, don’t worry, the trend is here and it’s a matter of time until you see more of them.
Tiled headboards come in any design you care to imagine: a patchwork quilt design; simple subway wall tiles, one colour or a touch of a Mondrian effect? The limit is only in what you can imagine.
Tiles can be used anywhere. Try a water feature wall. Perhaps you’d like to dress up the front of your kitchen island? It’s a small project but it still deserves proper planning so chat to Myaree Ceramics’ design team and dress up your kitchen for every dinner!
Look up and love it!
A tiled ceiling isn’t even out of the question. Where? In the shower it’s an obvious addition. It’s also a wonderful finish to a grand dining room. But even if you have a regular 2 to 3 bedroom home or apartment, wall tiles and kitchen tiles placed on the ceiling are absolutely acceptable as a feature. Quite often it is a mixture of tile pattern and colours to create a mosaic effect or ornate finish. Again, Myaree Ceramics can take any inquiry to its ultimate outcome.
The applications for tiles are practically limitless. If anyone can take you out of the bathroom and into the wider world of wall, bathroom and kitchen tiles, Myaree Ceramics, Perth can.
