Designed to wow, the brief for this project was essentially “no holds barred” – evident in the combination of metallic Sicis glass mosaics from Italy, striking, three dimensional tiles inspired by crocodile scales from turkish manufacturer Kalebodur; and the incredible, wallpaper-like application of the Sicis Ipix mosaic scenery against an incredible, black, egg-shaped bath.
A digitally designed, handmade “wallpaper” of glass mosaic, Sicis Ipix was customised to fit the space, colour blend slightly tweaked to suit the taste of the client, handmade in Italy and sent directly to Myaree Ceramics – Western Australia’s exclusive importer of Sicis mosaics.
The incredible city views are heightened even further by the Sicis mosaics laid throughout – a gold, glass mosaic pool floor for the ultimate in luxurious, penthouse style. The waterline of the pool were broken up by Sicis stripes – a multi colour glass mosaic running down the walls of the pool in alternating long, linear patterns.
